What do your portrait photography services cost?

The $100 session fee covers the photographer’s time creating personalized portraits with up to five members of your family, her artistic style and vision for your portraits and a personalized viewing and ordering session. Prints and portrait products are extra. A minimal fee is added for additional family members.

Desk-size prints start at $40; wall portraits begin at $195 with value pricing available as part of collection purchases. All wall portraits are mounted, textured and treated with clear UV protective coating. Most customers plan to spend at least $500 although we do not have a minimum purchase requirement. The portraits we create will be a family heirloom for generations to come and as such most of our customers plan to invest accordingly. For detailed pricing information, please contact us.

How does a portrait photography session with Urban Star Photography work?

Your experience with Urban Star Photography begins with a telephone consultation where we’ll discuss your portrait needs and any ideas or special requests you have. We’ll discuss the subjects for the portraits, where the portraits will be taken and how we can create pictures that represent your unique style. We may also cover clothing options that will result in the most appealing portraits.

During the consultation we will schedule a date for your portrait session and a separate meeting for your personalized viewing and ordering session.

During your portrait session we will work at a pace that is efficient but relaxed. We want the experience to be enjoyable. Our goal is to capture natural expressions and fun moments that happen when everyone is having a good time.

Within approximately one week of your portrait session we will meet again for your personal viewing and ordering session. You will enjoy a multimedia presentation created especially for you which will contain 20-30 images from your session. Product samples and customized portrait products will be available for viewing. If necessary, we will assist you in making decisions about how to best showcase your new photographs in your home or office.

Your portrait order will be delivered in person or by a reputable carrier such as UPS.

Do you sell digital files?

All sessions include copyrighted web-size files of any purchased wall portrait for sharing via social media such as Facebook or personal blogs. High-resolution digital files suitable for printing up to size 8 x 12 are available after a minimum $500 purchase.

What kind of products do you offer?

We are proud to offer a variety of custom portrait items. In addition to heirloom quality wall prints we also offer collages, albums, art folios and canvas art products are available as well as holiday cards and announcements.

We offer only the highest quality products and present each customer with a personalized experience representative of what you’d expect to receive from a professional portrait photographer. All of our products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

Do you have separate pricing for commercial projects?

Yes. We offer special commercial pricing available only to businesses and charities. Please see our commercial page for more information.

How does a commercial photography session with Urban Star Photography work?

Commercial projects start with a telephone consultation. Depending on the scope of the project, your photographer will visit your place of business to further discuss your photography needs and discuss details of the shoot. Upon completion of the session arrangements for viewing and delivery of images will be arranged based on the scale of the project.

Where will the session take place?

In order to create portraits that are a true reflection of you and your lifestyle, our session will take place wherever we need to be to make that happen. Whether at your home, one of many places in or around Austin that I can recommend or a location that is meaningful to you, your session location will be one that is conducive to creating beautiful photographs. We will discuss details about locations during your consultation. Faith’s job as a professional photographer is to create moving images at virtually any location.

What is your service area?

Urban Star Photography of Austin serves the greater Austin area including Bastrop, Bee Cave, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Lakeway, Leander, Pflugerville, Round Rock and any other location within 30 miles of central Austin. A minimal travel fee is assessed for sessions taking place beyond 30 miles of Austin. Faith is available for travel and destination sessions, please inquire for travel pricing.
Faith is happy to offer waived or reduced travel pricing (depending on distance) when 3 or more sessions are booked during the same trip. Contact Faith for more information on how to get unique portraits for yourself and your family, taken right where you live!

How much does real estate photography cost?
